America's Birthday=

I wish that everyone in the=
world has a healthy, restrained, sense of national pride in their home =
countries. This includes people who now reside in another place than th=
eir homeland. In my military days I met people from around the world an=
d I saw quite a bit of patriotism that I admired. We all need to get al=
ong … we all need to admit "our" countries have flaws … bu=
t if the bad parts annoy you then work to improve the situation.
Healthy national pride means that I like my country a lot and I respec=
t you for liking yours. It's like school or sports teams … of cou=
rse you favor your own, but you don't shoot someone over it. You ju=
st go and prove you are best … by beating them on the sports field, or=
showing them the good aspects of your school. Or, welcoming tourists t=
o you homeland and showing them about. I enjoy travel, I enjoy meeting =
people from other lands, and I enjoy learning about their history and cu=
lture. But America is my home and I like it most.

(Sad part is, now June is over and I have to wait a=
