How To Make Your Own Family Tree

To make this page of my web site I used Brothers Keeper, a great Genealogy Database Shareware Program by John Steed. Using Brothers Keeper, I created GEDCOM files which were then processed using a nifty GEDCOM to HTML Translator program by Gene Stark. Gene's program, "GED2HTML", is quite flexible. You can visit Gene Stark's home page or go directly Gene's Genealogy page, which has links to his GED2HTML Program, the GENDEX Genealogical Index (which indexes hundreds of World Wide Web databases containing genealogical data on over one million individuals).

To edit HTML I use TextPad. I also use Netscape Navigator 3.0 Gold, which has an excellent editor in it. To edit graphics I use Paint Shop Pro. Many thanks to Robert P. Sherwood, from whom I obtained all these great ideas. For a really clever genealogy site, go visit Floodwillow.

Note! I cannot possibly keep all these current. If you discover one of these links fails, I would appreciate your .
