Suddenly a sound like the blowing of =<br \/>\na violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they we=<br \/>\nre sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated an=<br \/>\nd came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Sp=<br \/>\nirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.<br\/=\n><br \/>Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every na=<br \/>\ntion under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in =<br \/>\nbewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Ut=<br \/>\nterly amazed, they asked: =E2=80=9CAren=E2=80=99t all these who are spea=<br \/>\nking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native =<br \/>\nlanguage? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea=<br \/>\n and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the p=<br \/>\narts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to=<br \/>\n Judaism); Cretans and Arabs=E2=80=94we hear them declaring the wonders =<br \/>\nof God in our own tongues!=E2=80=9D Amazed and perplexed, they asked one=<br \/>\n another, =E2=80=9CWhat does this mean?=E2=80=9D<br \/>(<a href=3D\"http:\/\/=\nwww.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=3DActs%202:1-12&amp;version=3DNIV\" =\ntarget=3D\"_blank\">Acts 2:1-12 NIV<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>You must know that, as y=<br \/>\nou are in a worship service during which you have already heard songs su=<br \/>\nng in two languages, one of which you partly know and one you have no cl=<br \/>\nue what they are saying &#8230; well in such a case the miraculous understan=<br \/>\nding of other languages takes on new meaning.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, here t=<br \/>\nhe flowers grow naturally so those who decorate the altar for worship ha=<br \/>\nve a real advantage. These were very cleverly made by placing together four red <a href=3D=\n\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hibiscus\" target=3D\"_blank\">hibiscus<\/a> b=<br \/>\nlossoms with one white <a href=3D\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Frangipan=\ni\" target=3D\"_blank\">frangipani<\/a> in the center.
