It’s Time for Commencement

The University at whic=
h I teach winds up our Spring Term earlier than many. This evening we h=
ave Baccalaureate and tomorrow morning will be Commencement. I am hopin=
g for bright, sunny skies as we have had many rainy days here lately. T=
he point is, tomorrow all of the faculty don their fancy (expensive) aca=
demic robes and march in procession — both today and tomorrow.
These formal ceremonies get to some people but I like them. For one =
thing, we don't do it so very often. But especially, it's fun t=
o see these students graduate. We have young adults with whom we have w=
orked for four years. We've watched them grow and develop. They ha=
ve moved from late teen-age years to early independent adult years. The=
y are so eager, full of hope, and (I trust) ready to go out and "ta=
ke on the world."

I wish them all lots of success.
Seeing these young people is one of the things I really enjoy about wo=
rking at a University.

  1. Hi! I understand that you have the =
desire for the younger generation they have the spirit and enthusiasm fo=
    r the job after graduation.
I also like you, are looking forward to =
graduating students when they will be dedicated. Unfortunately my countr=
y is still poor, backward education, many graduates do not get a job so =
much unemployment, poverty has not been resolved by the severe economic =
crisis which the government does not possible measures to deal with.
Wish you always happy and successful at work!
